Life at 13,000+ feet isn’t easy.
Life for nomadic people of the Tibetan plateau is difficult. The high altitude, sparse vegetation, extreme temperatures and weather, among other more modern challenges such as alcoholism and very limited access to healthcare, take a toll on families and lead to orphaned and abandoned children. In addition, illiteracy is also very high in the region, and the Tibetan language and culture is at risk. Tadra Project was founded to save these children and give them love, education, and a solid start in life, while preserving their language and culture.
